Road To Modern

Modern quilt styles can be wildly original or deceptively simple.  It might be motifs never before seen or a simple rearrangement of traditional quilt pattern designs.  This class “Road To Modern” is the latter.
Students will use the pattern  “Trichisel” by Heather Scrimsher.  Heather has taken a classic shape, the chisel and slowly changed it up to give a more  modern interpretation.  The pattern uses simple fabric strips which are recut into three rearranged shapes to provide a “topsy turvy” look to the columns of chisels.
A background sets off their distinctive rearrangement.
Some preparation can be done before class to speed up the time in class.  Individual chisels can be cut with scissors or rotary cuter using the pattern provided or cut with the Die-Cutters available in class.
Specific instructions will be given at registration.
The pattern is included in the class fee.
